An automotive supplier in Warren, Ohio needed four cartons of automotive parts delivered urgently to Laredo, Texas: one onboard courier, two flights via Dallas, cartons as checked baggage.
Our courier was on the road at 05:50, reached the shipper at 09:51 and had all four cartons loaded by 10:16. At Cleveland Hopkins, rather than check in four separate cartons, the courier bundled them into two pieces, checked both in by 11:51 and had confirmation they were loaded before the 14:36 departure.
The connecting flight in Dallas was delayed because the incoming aircraft had not yet reached the gate. The courier stayed with the routing, departed at 18:47 with both pieces on board, landed in Laredo at 19:56 and completed delivery at 20:56 local time, 11 hours 40 minutes after collection.
The flights were the simple part. Getting four cartons into two checked pieces at Cleveland, and a connection that held, are what put this one at the receiver the same evening.
